Strawberry Smoothie


Ingredients :

  1. Fresh strawberry - 4 pieces (medium size)
  2. Vanilla flavored ice cream- 3 scoop
  3. Plain yogurt - 2 Tbs
  4. Heavy whipping cream - 1 Tbs (optional)
  5. Sugar - 2 ts or to your taste
  6. Cold water - 1/4 cup (if you want you can use milk)
  7. Ice cube - 2pieces

Procedure :

  1. Wash the strawberry and cut into two pieces.
  2. Put all the ingredients in the jug of your blender and blend it smoothly.
  3. Serve your smoothie cold. 

Spicy Patishapta (ঝাল ঝাল পাটিসাপটা)




Ingredients:
For Stuffing:
  1. Beef keema-1 cup(cooked)
  2. Onion-1 cup(chopped)
  3. Tomato-1 medium(chopped)
  4. Red chili powder-1/2 ts or according to your taste
  5. Salt-1/2 ts or according to your taste
  6. Oil-4 Tbs
For Batter:
  1. All purpose flour-3/4 cup
  2. Rice flour-1/4 cup
  3. Milk- around 2 cup(warm)
  4. Egg-2 beaten
  5. Onion-2 Tbs(finely chopped)
  6. Green chili-2(finely chopped)
  7. Salt-3/4 ts or according to your taste
  8. Oil-for brush
Procedure:
  1. Heat 4 Tbs oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and fry until tender. Add tomato,red chili powder and salt. Stir until tomato become tender. Add cooked keema and fry around 7-8 minutes in medium heat. Remove from the pan and set aside.


  2. Take all purpose flour and rice flour in a bowl, add chopped onion,chopped green chili and salt and mix well. Then slowly add warm milk to the flour. Beat with a whisk. Add beaten egg and again beat until the batter become smooth. Keep the batter for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Now take a pan and brush oil.( you can use kitchen tissue or a clean piece of thin cotton cloth to brush)
  4. Take a big round shape spoon. When the oil become heated put one spoonful of the batter on the middle of the pan and round the pan carefully so that a circular shaped wrapper can be form. Turn the heat low and cook it until the wrapper can be lifted without sticking.
  5. Remove it from the pan on a plate, place some keema in a line on one corner of the wrapper and wrap it from the one corner pointing towards you and make a roll.

Raw Papaya Halwa(কাঁচা পেপের হালুয়া)

Ingredients:
  1. Raw papaya-1.5 kg
  2. Sugar-1 cup or according to your taste
  3. Milk powder-1 cup
  4. Ghee- 2 Tbs
  5. Cardamom- 2 stick
  6. Green food color-few drop
  7. Vanilla essence-few drop
  8. Almond for decoration
Procedure:
  1. Peel and cut papaya into small pieces.
  2. Boil papaya with water. Boil it until papaya become nicely tender and water evaporates.
  3. Now mash papaya and make a fine paste. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cardamom and stir. After 1 minute add papaya paste and stir.
  5. Now add sugar and stir occasionally. When halwa start to become thick add milk powder and stir continuously.
  6. Prepare the mixture of food color with 2 Tbs water.
  7. Add food color and stir continuously until it comes to a halwa consistency that do not stick to the pan. Add vanilla essence and stir.
  8. Garnish your halwa with some nuts and raisin.

Teler Pitha(তেলের পিঠা)




Ingredients:
  1. Rice flour-1 cup
  2. Atta flour-1/2 cup
  3. Jaggery  (grated) / Brown sugar-3/4 cup or according to your taste
  4. Salt-1/4 ts
  5. Oil- for deep fry
Procedure:
  1. Soak jaggery with little warm water and mix well. There should not be any lumps.
  2. Put rice flour and flour to a mixing bowl. Mix well. Add jaggery and knead well. Add little warm water and make a batter. The batter should be thick like cake batter. Cover the bowl and keep it around 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan. Take a deep round shape spoon. When the oil become hot enough take a spoon full batter and add to the oil. 
  4. If oil is heated perfectly then pitha will remain in the bottom for few seconds and then puffs up. When it puffs up flip the side and fry.

  5. Then take out on a paper towel to soak the extra oil.

Biscuit


Ingredients:
  1. All purpose flour-2 and 1/2 cup
  2. Butter-1/2 cup(cold & cut into small pieces)
  3. Milk-3/4 cup
  4. Sugar-1 Tbs or according to your taste
  5. Baking powder-2 and 1/2 ts
  6. Egg-1
  7. Salt-1 ts or according to your taste
  8. For brush-1 egg(beaten) + 1Tbs milk
  9. Garlic powder (optional)- 1 Tbs
Procedure:
  1. Beat the egg and 3/4 cup milk in a bowl, and set it aside.
  2. Put flour, baking powder, salt and sugar to a mixing bowl and whisk them together. Put the butter in the flour and mix it with your fingertip to form a coarse crumbs. Then add egg and milk mixture and gently mix it to form a dough.(the dough should be sticky and moist)
  3. Place some flour on a dry chopping board. Put the dough on it and knead gently until it become smooth (dough should not be over mix). 
  4. Divide the dough into small pieces, round them with your hand and  place them on a baking tray. (or you can roll out the dough to about 1/2 inches thickness and can cut with your desired cookie cutter)
  5. Mix 1 Tbs milk with beaten egg. Then brush the tops of the biscuits with this mixture. Then if you want you can spread little garlic powder on top of it.

  6. Preheat oven 400 degree F. Place the tray in the middle rack of the oven and bake around 10-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Check it with a toothpick. If it comes out clean then remove them from the oven and enjoy your biscuits.
