Mashed Shrimp (চিংড়ি ভর্তা)


Ingredients:

  1. Medium size shrimp-12-15 pieces
  2. Chopped onion-2-3 Tbs
  3. Green chili-2 (chopped)or according to your taste
  4. Turmeric powder-1/4 ts
  5. Red chili powder-1/4 ts
  6. Mustard oil -2 Tbs
  7. Salt-1/2 ts or according to your taste

Procedure:

  1. Remove skin from the shrimp. Wash and drain water. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to the shrimp and mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in the pan. Add chopped onion and green chili. Fry until onion become nicely tender. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add shrimp to the pan and fry around 3-4 minutes in medium heat.
  3. Remove from the pan and put the shrimp, fried onion and green chili to a chopper or a blender. Chop them. (do not chop or blend too finely).
  4. Place it to a serving bowl and enjoy with plain white rice.(before serving taste the salt)

Korola Fry with Potato & Shrimp(আলু,-চিংড়ি দিয়ে করল্লা ভাজি)



Ingredients:
  1. Korola(beater melon)-2 medium(thinly sliced)
  2. Potato-1 medium(grated)
  3. Shrimp-10-12 pieces(medium)
  4. Onion-1 medium(chopped)
  5. Green chili-5/6 pieces or according to your taste(slited from middle)
  6. Turmeric powder-1/2 ts
  7. Oil-around 6 Tbs
  8. Salt-1 ts or according to your taste
Procedure:
  1. Clean and wash shrimp and set aside.
  2. Spread a little salt to the korola and mix well. Keep it for 5 minutes then wash it.(it helps reduce bitter)
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and green chili and stir until onion become tender.
  4. Add shrimp and fry for a while. Add potato,korola,turmeric powder and salt. Stir well to mix all of them.


  5. Cook in medium heat until potato and korola become tender. Stir occasionally to prevent burn bottom of the pan.
  6. Serve with plain white rice.

Bottle Gourd with Shrimp (লাউ চিংড়ি)

Ingredients:
  1. Bottle gourd- 500gm
  2. Shrimp-10-12
  3. Onion paste- 6 ts (you can use around 1/2 cup chopped onion instead
    of onion paste )
  4. Garlic paste-2 ts
  5. Cumin powder -3/4 ts
  6. Turmeric powder-1ts
  7. Green chili paste- 1 ts or to your taste (you can use 5-6 pieces
    stilted green chili instead of paste)
  8. Salt- 1 ts or to taste
  9. Oil- 1/4 cup
  10. Cilantro (chopped)- 2 Tbs (optional)
Procedure:
  1. Wash the bottle gourd, peel it and then cut it around 1/2 inch slices. And wash the shrimp and set them aside.
  2. Pour oil in a pan and heat it in a medium heat. Add onion paste, garlic paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt in the oil one after another, and stir them. Stir  the masala around 3-4 minutes or until oil starts to separate from the masala. Then add the shrimp and bottle gourd pieces and stir them to mix with masala. Keep this in medium heat for around 10 minutes (stir them occasionally).
  3. After that add around 1 & 1/2 cups of warm water in  it and bring it to a boil.  Then cover the pan, lower the heat to medium low and cook them around 15-20 minutes or until the bottle gourd become tender.
  4. Now spread the chopped cilantro over the curry and let the curry simmer in low heat for 1-2 minutes.Then turn off the heat. Your curry is now ready to serve.

Small Shrimp Fry (ছোট চিংড়ি ভাজি)

Ingredients:
  1. Small shrimp-300 gm
  2. Onion-1 cup(chopped)
  3. Turmeric powder-1/2 ts
  4. Red chili powder-1/2 ts
  5. Green chili(slited)-5-6 pieces or your choice
  6. Oil-around 1/2 cup
  7. Salt-1 ts or according to your taste
Procedure:
  1. Clean and wash shrimp properly. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and 1/2 ts salt to the shrimp. Mix them well.
  2. Heat 1/2 oil in a pan. Add shrimp and fry around 5-7 minutes in medium heat. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil to the pan. Add chopped onion,green chili and remaining 1/2 ts salt and fry the onion until tender. Add fried shrimp and fry another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove from the pan and serve.

Shrimp Shashlik

Ingredients:
  1. Shrimp-20-25 pieces(medium)
  2. Capsicum-1(cut into 1 and 1/2 inch cube)
  3. Onion-1 medium(cut into 1 and 1/2 inch cube)
  4. Tomato-2 medium(cut into 1 and 1/2 inch cube)
  5. Red chili powder-1/2 ts
  6. Turmeric powder-1/2 ts
  7. Cumin powder-1/4 ts
  8. Ginger paste-1/2 ts
  9. Garlic paste-1/2 ts
  10. Soy sauce-1 Tbs
  11. Yogurt-2 Tbs
  12. Oil- for spray
  13. Salt-1/2 ts or your choice 
Procedure:
  1. Clean and wash shrimp. Remove shell from shrimp. Cut all the vegetables.
  2. Add all the ingredients to the shrimp except oil. Mix them well and keep it for 10 minutes.
  3. Skew shrimp and vegetables to the skewers closely like one piece shrimp,one piece onion, one piece capsicum, one piece tomato and so on.
  4. Take a baking tray. Spray or brush oil over the baking tray. Put the skewers on it and spray or brush oil on the skewers properly.
  5. Preheat oven 400 f  for 5 minutes. Then turn it to 350 f. Place the tray into the oven for 20-25 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and turn over the skewers.(be careful if you use metal skewers) Again place the tray to the oven and bake another around 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

Shrimp Chop(চিংড়ি বড়া)

Ingredients:
  1. Small size shrimp-200 gm
  2. Masoor dal(lentil)-1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour-1 ts
  4. Onion-1 medium(finely chopped)
  5. Green chili-2 pieces
  6. Turmeric powder-1/4 ts
  7. Cumin powder-1/4 ts
  8. Ginger paste-1/2 ts
  9. Garlic paste-1/2 ts
  10. Baking powder-1/4 ts
  11. Coriander leaves-2 Tbs(chopped)
  12. Salt-1/2 ts
  13. Oil- for frying
Procedure:
  1. Wash dal. Place it in a bowl. Fill it with little hot water and keep it for 2-3 hours. Drain water and place dal (lentil) to a blender.
  2. Blend it. Don't blend too finely. Remove the dal from the blender and set aside.
  3. Clean and wash shrimp. Put it in a blender. Add green chili and make a paste (add little water if required).
  4. Place pasted shrimp and dal to a mixing bowl. Add rest of the ingredients except oil. Mix all of them very well.
  5. Heat oil into a frying pan. Place 1 table spoon of mixture into frying pan in round shape. Fry them in a medium heat until both sides looks deep golden brown.
  6. Remove them from the pan and place on a kitchen tissue to soak extra oil.
  7. Serve hot.

Shrimp Khicuri(চিংড়ি খিচুড়ি)

Ingredients:
  1. Shrimp-1/2 lb medium size
  2. Bashmati rice-1 cup
  3. Masoor dal-1/2 cup
  4. Moong dal-1/2 cup
  5. Tomato-1 large(finely chopped)
  6. Onion-1 medium( chopped )
  7. Green chili-4-5 pieces
  8. Red chili powder-1/2 ts
  9. Turmeric powder-1 ts
  10. Cardamom-5/6 pieces
  11. Cinnamon stick-4 pieces
  12. Bay leaves-4 pieces
  13. Ginger paste-1 Tbs
  14. Garlic paste- 1Tbs
  15. Oil-around 4 Tbs
  16. Salt- 1 ts or your choice
Procedure:

  1. Wash rice and dal together and drain water properly.

  2. Heat oil in the pan. Saute cardamom, cinnamon stick and bay leaves. Add chopped onion and fry until tender. Add shrimp. Fry around 1 minute.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients except rice and dal.

  4. Fry them around 3-4 minutes. Add rice and dal. Fry all of them together another 3-4 minutes.

  5.  Now add hot water around 4 cups. Cover the pan with lid. Cook in medium heat. When rice becomes maximum cooked turn the heat low. (if required add little hot water.) When rice becomes properly cooked turn off the burner.

Shrimp Biryani(চিংড়ি বিরিয়ানী)



Ingredients:

  1. Bashmati rice- 2 cup
  2. Shrimp - 1 lb
  3. Coconut milk -2 cup
  4. Warm water -4 cup
  5. Onion (chopped)- 1 cup
  6. Tomato (cut in cube)- 2
  7. Ginger paste -1 ts
  8. Garlic paste - 1 ts
  9. Green chili - 4/5 piece
  10. Cloves - 3 piece
  11. Cardamom -3 piece
  12. Cinnamon stick -3 piece
  13. Bay leaves -2 piece
  14. Garam masala powder -1/2 ts
  15. Cumin powder -1/2 ts
  16. Red chili powder -1 ts
  17. salt -1&1/2 ts or your choice
  18. Oil or Ghee - 2 Tbs
Procedure:
  1. Wash the rice, drain water and then keep it aside.
  2. Pour oil or ghee in a pan and heat it to a medium heat. When oil is hot put all the whole masala in it and fry for 4 -5 second. then add the onion and fry it until it turns to brown color.
  3. Now add the ginger and garlic paste and fry little bit. Then add the shrimp and tomato, and stir it.
  4. Add little bit water and put all the powder masala and salt and stir it and then add the rice and fry it for 3-4 minutes.
  5. When a nice flavor start to come out add the coconut milk and stir it carefully.
  6. After 4-5 minutes add the warm water and wait until it start to boil.
  7. Then taste the salt and cover it, and keep it to a medium low heat(approximately 30-35 minutes). Stir it 1 or 2 times.
  8. When the rice is done turn off the heat and cover it for another 8-10 minutes.
  9. After that your delicious shrimp biryani is ready to serve.

Shrimp With Tomato (চিংড়ি টমেটো)


Ingredients :
1. Shrimp-1lb
2. Onion-2 large(chopped)
3. Tomato-1 large (cutted into 6-8 pieces)
4. Turmeric powder- 1 tea spoon
5. Red chili powder -1 tea spoon or your choice
6. Ground cumin- half tea spoon
7. Ginger paste- half table spoon
8. Garlic paste- half table spoon
9. Oil
10. Salt

Procedure :
1. Put 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder,1/2 teaspoon red chili powder and salt to the shrimp. Mix well. Heat oil in the fry pan and fry all shrimp lightly. Then remove them from the pan.
2. Heat oil in the pan. Add chopped onion. Stir. Then slowly add the rest of the ingredients except tomato. Cook it in medium heat. Now add tomato and stir. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover the pan with lid. After boiling the water give the shrimp.

3. Cook it 5/6 minute in medium heat. Now ready to serve.
