Ingredients:
- Minced beef-250 gm
- Potato-2 medium(cut into cube)
- Onion-1 medium(finely chopped)
- Tomato-1 small(finely chopped)
- Red chili powder-3/4 ts
- Turmeric powder-1/4 ts
- Cumin powder-1 ts
- Ginger paste-1/2 ts
- Garlic paste-1/2 ts
- Cardamom-4 pieces
- Cinnamon stick-2 pieces
- Yogurt-1 Tbs
- Coriander leaf-1 Tbs(chopped)
- Oil-1/4 cup
- Salt-3/4 ts or according to your taste
- Heat oil in a pan in medium heat. Add cardamom and cinnamon stick. Stir for few seconds. Add chopped onion and fry until it turns light brown.
- Add minced beef and stir. Add all other ingredients and stir. Cover the pan with lid. Cook it until all liquid evaporated or oil comes out by the side of the pan.
- Add cubed potato and stir around 2/3 minutes. Add 2 cup water.
- Cook until potato become tender and liquid evaporated. Add coriander leaf.
- Serve with naan,roti or parata.
I made this dish recently and this recipe is a keeper! I used 500g ground beef, 1 cup of green peas and added 1/2 tsp garam masala for a little added spice. The other adjustment I made was 1 cup of water instead of 2 cups (I didn't want the curry to be too soupy).
