Ingredients:
- Skin less chicken-2 lb(cut into medium size pieces)
- Potato (cut into cube size)-2 medium
- Tomato (roughly chopped)-1 large
- Onion-2 medium(chopped)
- Turmeric powder-1 ts
- Red chili powder-1 and 1/2 ts or your choice
- Cumin powder-1 ts
- Coriander powder- 1 ts
- Ginger paste-2 Tbs
- Garlic paste-2 Tbs
- Bay leaves-2 pieces
- Cardamom- 4 pieces
- Cinnamon stick- 2 small size
- Oil-around 1/2 cup
- Salt-2 ts or your choice
- Coriander leaves (finely chopped)- 2 Tbs
- Clean and wash the chicken. Drain water from the chicken properly and set aside.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and then fry the potatoes till golden brown color come out. Then remove from the pan and keep aside.
- Then add the whole masala (bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, ) and fry them for few seconds. Then add chopped onion into the oil and fry until the onion become soft.
- Add the chopped tomato and little bit salt; and cook till the tomato become tender.
- Then add rest of the ingredients except coriander leaves. Stir and mix them well. If needed add little water and stir until the oil start to separate from masala.
- Add the chicken and fried potato; and fry for around 5 minutes in medium heat.
- Then add 2 cups of water and cover the pan.
- Cook around 20 minutes or until the chicken become tender.
- Then add the chopped coriander leaves and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
- Now your chicken curry is ready to serve.
