Ingredients:
- Bashmati rice- 2 cup
- Shrimp - 1 lb
- Coconut milk -2 cup
- Warm water -4 cup
- Onion (chopped)- 1 cup
- Tomato (cut in cube)- 2
- Ginger paste -1 ts
- Garlic paste - 1 ts
- Green chili - 4/5 piece
- Cloves - 3 piece
- Cardamom -3 piece
- Cinnamon stick -3 piece
- Bay leaves -2 piece
- Garam masala powder -1/2 ts
- Cumin powder -1/2 ts
- Red chili powder -1 ts
- salt -1&1/2 ts or your choice
- Oil or Ghee - 2 Tbs
- Wash the rice, drain water and then keep it aside.
- Pour oil or ghee in a pan and heat it to a medium heat. When oil is hot put all the whole masala in it and fry for 4 -5 second. then add the onion and fry it until it turns to brown color.
- Now add the ginger and garlic paste and fry little bit. Then add the shrimp and tomato, and stir it.
- Add little bit water and put all the powder masala and salt and stir it and then add the rice and fry it for 3-4 minutes.
- When a nice flavor start to come out add the coconut milk and stir it carefully.
- After 4-5 minutes add the warm water and wait until it start to boil.
- Then taste the salt and cover it, and keep it to a medium low heat(approximately 30-35 minutes). Stir it 1 or 2 times.
- When the rice is done turn off the heat and cover it for another 8-10 minutes.
- After that your delicious shrimp biryani is ready to serve.
