Green Tomato Fry(কাঁচা টমেটো ভাজি)
Ingredients:
- Green tomato-4 medium(cut into 8 pieces)
- Green chili-5-6 pieces or your choice
- Onion-1 medium(chopped)
- Turmeric powder-1/2 ts
- Sugar-1 ts
- Oil-around 4 ts
- Salt-1/2 ts or your choice
Procedure:
- Wash and cut tomato.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and stir until tender. Add green chili and stir. Add tomato, turmeric powder and salt. Stir well. Cover the pan with lid. Cook in medium heat around 5 minutes or until tomato become tender.
- Remove the lid from the pan. Add sugar and fry around 2/3 minutes.
- Place tomato to a serving bowl and enjoy with plain rice.
I always add some panch phoron to mine while frying the onion. It makes a world of difference to the finished dish.
