Mutton Curry (মাটন কারী)


Ingredients :
  1. Goat-2 lb (cut into medium size cube)
  2. Onion-1 cup(chopped)
  3. Turmeric powder-1 and 1/2 ts
  4. Red chili powder-1 and 1/2 ts`or your choice
  5. Cumin powder-1 ts
  6. Garam mashala powder-1 Tbs
  7. Ginger paste-1 Tbs
  8. Garlic paste-1 Tbs
  9. Bay leaves-4 pieces
  10. Yogurt-3 Tbs
  11. Oil-around 1 cup
  12. Salt-1 and 1/2 ts or your choice
Procedure :
  1. Clean and wash the meat. Add red chili powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder,garam mashala powder,ginger paste,garlic paste,salt and yogurt to the mutton and marinate for 3-4 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan and add bay leaves, stir and add the marinated mutton. Deep fry(koshano/কষানো) at medium heat around 25-30 minutes or until the oil comes out by the side of the pan.
  3. Add around 2 cup water and cover it with lid. Cook it in lower medium heat another 1 hour or until the meat become tender.
  4. Serve it with rice,luchi or porata.
